At Valor Elite Training, we celebrate the stories of our members who push past their limits, achieve their goals, and inspire others in the process. Today, we’re spotlighting Andrew Baker, an amazing client who has shown incredible determination and resilience. Here’s Andrew Baker’s fitness journey in his own words:

Personal Background
Andrew Baker hails from Londonderry, New Hampshire, and now calls Windsor home. He joined the Valor Elite family at the end of November 2024 and has since become a testament to the power of commitment and the right environment.
Goals and Achievements
When Andrew first started training with us, his goals were clear:
- Begin weight training for the first time.
- Boost his confidence.
- Maintain his ability to play soccer well into his 40s.
- Shed a few pounds along the way.
Fast forward to today, Andrew has not only embraced weight training but also achieved significant milestones. He’s proudly lost 15 pounds and, for the first time in a decade, is under 200 pounds!
Motivation and Inspiration
A blend of personal drive and life circumstances has fueled Andrew’s fitness journey. As a caregiver for his mother, who has Alzheimer’s, Andrew recognized the importance of prioritizing his own health to better care for her. “If I’m not feeling good and taking care of myself, how can I take care of my mom?” he reflects.
He credits his trainer, Alan, and the noticeable results for keeping him motivated. “Seeing progress and feeling better about myself and my body is the biggest motivator,” Andrew shares.
Training Experience
For Andrew, the Valor Elite experience has been a perfect fit:
- Favorite Aspects: The intimate, welcoming space; Alan’s unwavering support and expertise; and the friendly camaraderie, with Tim’s cheerful “What’s up buddy!” greeting as a highlight.
- Effective Programs: Alan’s tailored approach of quick supersets, varied routines, and focused exercises ensures an efficient and impactful hour. Andrew also incorporates long-distance running for cardio, which aligns with his love for endurance activities.

Impact Beyond the Gym
Andrew’s progress has made waves in his personal life. “People are starting to notice the results, and it feels good,” he says. Beyond physical changes, he feels stronger on the soccer field, during runs, and in daily life.
His advice to others? “You don’t have to spend 2 or 3 hours a day at a gym to see results. Find a program that works for you and stick with it.”
Fun Facts About Andrew
- Workout Playlist: A vibrant mix of upbeat tunes, including Bruce Hornsby, Guster, Fleet Foxes, Florence and the Machine, Jurassic 5, and fast bluegrass. And let’s not forget the classic 80s dance hits!
- Go-To Workout Fuel: Eggs, cashews, beef jerky, and Fairlife protein shakes.
