At Valor Elite Training, we believe that great coaches don’t just lead workouts—they build confidence, trust, and lasting change. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a member of our training team: Tyler Smith. With a deep-rooted passion for athletics, a strong academic background, and a results-driven approach, Tyler brings the perfect blend of expertise and energy to help you meet your fitness goals—whether you’re recovering, starting fresh, or ready to level up.
A Mind-Body Approach to Fitness
Tyler’s journey into personal training began with a love for sports and a passion for helping others feel their best—physically and mentally. “Exercise is a multifaceted tool,” he says. “It enables people to accomplish goals that go far beyond physical transformation. It’s mental, emotional, and personal.”
Credentials that Count
Tyler holds a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training and a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science, alongside multiple certifications:
- ATC / LAT – Certified & Licensed Athletic Trainer
- CES – Corrective Exercise Specialist
- NSCA-CPT – Certified Personal Trainer
He specializes in rehabilitation and recovery, injury prevention, sports performance, and strength training—making him a strong asset for both athletes and individuals looking to build strength safely.
Training Style: Supportive, Concise, Energetic
Tyler’s sessions are structured, challenging, and motivating. “I design training plans with periodization to ensure efficiency,” he explains. “Clients stay motivated when they can see both short-term wins and long-term growth.” He uses movement screens and exercise history surveys to customize every program with safety as the standard.
His Favorite Workout?
Functional movements and free weights are Tyler’s go-to. On busy days, you’ll find him doing full-body circuits finished off with a core-blasting plank series. And yes—he loves his kettlebell: “It’s so versatile—it can be used in everything from rehab to elite sports training.”
A Coach Who Celebrates Your Wins
One of Tyler’s proudest client stories involves helping a man lose over 70 pounds and reverse his diabetes diagnosis. “That transformation didn’t come from one change—it came from consistency. We revamped his program and made a few nutritional tweaks, and his dedication made it possible.”
Balance, Not Perfection
Tyler walks the talk when it comes to fitness and nutrition. He believes in meal prepping, loosely tracking macros, and enjoying the process. “Progress over perfection—that’s what I tell my clients. One small victory a day adds up to real, lifelong change.”
Why Valor Elite?
“The community here is unbeatable,” Tyler says. “It’s not just about working out—it’s about being supported by a team who genuinely cares.” That team-first mentality is part of what sets Valor apart, and Tyler’s passion for educating clients along the way only strengthens it.
